Jack Butland bids already on cards as Rangers exit mooted at Ibrox
Rangers are expecting to receive transfer bids from English clubs for goalkeeper Jack Butland this summer, according to Chris Jack.
Writing on the Rangers Review website (30 April), the reliable journalist reports that the goalkeeper is expected to be the target for several clubs south of the border after picking up a double at the Ibrox club’s Player of the Year awards.
Butland was subject to a bid from Nottingham Forest in the January transfer window which Rangers rejected, but reports have suggested that the former England international’s wish is to leave this summer and Jack believes clubs will be lining up to make an offer for the 31-year-old.
Jack Butland to leave Rangers?
Obviously, in an ideal world, Rangers won’t have to even consider the future of Butland this summer because he will want to stay and nobody will make an offer.
But realistically that is not going to happen such has been his form this season, his aspirations to get back into the England national team fold and the money on offer from the Premier League.
Several clubs are likely to take an interest and considering Rangers brought him in on a free transfer last summer, anything they receive will be seen as profit which would help with the books.

It would also help Philippe Clement be able to stamp his authority on the squad more with a bigger budget, but a huge gap would be left in the team and they would find it incredibly difficult to replace him.
Arnaud Bodart has been linked as a potential replacement which means the club are clearly preparing for the worst-case scenario, and it could be that Butland only has a few games left as an Ibrox star.
In other Rangers news, Abdallah Sima’s Ibrox career could be over after what Philippe Clement said.
