Exclusive: How much Rangers want to pay for Camilo Mena transfer as Lechia Gdansk 'need money'
Rangers target Camilo Mena is one of three players Lechia Gdansk could look to sell this summer.
The Gers' hunt for new wide attackers has not been going smoothly over the last week.
A bid for Amario Cozier-Duberry was rejected by Brighton as Rangers shifted their attention back to the Englishman.
It came after Couhaib Driouech's transfer to Ibrox collapsed following his medical tests.
Mena is a player that has been linked throughout the summer and he could come at a cut price.
With the Polish side needing to bring in funds this summer, that could affect Mena's future.
What price do Rangers want to pay for Camilo Mena?
A move for right-winger Mena could still be on the cards for Rangers amid developments in Poland.
Lechia Gdansk journalist Karolina Jaskulska who reports for Polish outlet Kanal Sportowy and is the deputy editor of Lechia.net has shared the latest on Mena with Ibrox News.
They said: "Lechia needs money and need to earn on Mena, Tomas Bobcek or Ivan Zhelizko. Transfer window is coming to an end - so Lechia need to negotiate."
Addtionally, Ibrox News has learned that Mena is looking to change clubs this summer and if Rangers can progress in the Conference League that is seen as a "big advantage."
Additionally, according to the information gathered, Rangers would be willing to pay £3million for the Colombian winger.
Earlier reports suggested Lechia Gdansk valued Mena at £3.4m, but as they now need money and with time running out, Rangers may have their opening.
Should Rangers wait to make their move for Mena?
As the transfer window continues to count down, Lechia will get more and more desperate to bring in the needed funds.
And that could further allow Rangers to agree to a deal that suits them if they bide their time.
However, they would also run the risk of a transfer being completed for any of the two other players mentioned, meaning Mena is no longer needed for an exit.
So, if the Gers are looking to sign Mena, getting a deal done as soon as possible is best for the G51 outfit.
Lechia will not want to lose Mena, who is their club captain but an attractive offer will ultimately force their hand as things stand.
Time will tell what happens between now and the end of the window, but Derek McInnes' side need these wide signings to happen quickly.
