Tam McManus mocks Rangers on social media after 0-0 draw v Dundee
Tam McManus has taken to his social media account to mock Rangers after their title hopes took a hit in the 0-0 draw with Dundee on Wednesday (17 April).
The Gers now sit three points behind Celtic having played the same number of games as their rivals having gone three games without a win, with many suggesting that they’ve lost their chance at winning the league.
Following the shock 3-2 defeat to Ross County on Sunday (14 April) McManus told PLZ Soccer that Philippe Clement’s side “don’t have the bottle for a title race”, the pundit revisited his statement after the 0-0 draw at Dens Park to gloat on his personal X account (17 April)
“Didn’t take long to prove me right,” he wrote, along with an emoji of a glum face wearing sunglasses.
Rangers deserve all the laughs directed at them
A few weeks ago you would have been hard-pressed to find anyone who didn’t consider Clement’s side as the favourites to go all the way in the SPFL and win the title.
Celtic were swaying and looked poor, while Rangers were going from strength to strength and were expecting several injured players to return which would only make them stronger.
However, the opposite has happened and instead they are struggling to find a rhythm or to find goals while defensively they look more open than ever before under his management.
As a result, there are pundits and fans all over the country looking to get their jokes off at the club’s expense, and now they just have to take it.
They deserve everything coming their way after a complete capitulation in just three games, and until they get back to winning ways with impressive performances, it’s something they just have to deal with.
