Why Rangers have scheduled behind-closed-doors friendly against Dundee
While top teams across Europe prepare for their European ties, Derek McInnes has decided to start preparations for next weekend with a game against Steven Pressley's team on 20 October.
The Dark Blues gave the Gers a tough test at Dens Park on 17 October, with the game ending in a 2-2 draw.
Dundee ended the Ibrox side's seven-game win streak and McInnes has decided to take them on again.
While the Light Blues have dominated teams in recent weeks with their intensity, they were unable to do so against Pressley's team.
Going into the game, the Glaswegian outfit have a clear plan for the game as McInnes is tasked with managing a decent-sized squad.
Who will play for Rangers in friendly vs Dundee?
Badredine Bouanani was sensational against Dundee, standing out for the Gers after getting a rare start under McInnes.
The Scottish manager hasn't made too many changes to his starting lineup in the last few matches, with Kevin Kelsy the only change at Dens Park.
Dundee were the better team in the opening 45 minutes, and while the Light Blues dominated until Nicolas Raskin's screamer made it 2-1, Dan Neil's mistake at the back shifted the momentum.
In the behind-closed-doors friendly today, the idea is to give fringe players and those recovering from injuries some game time, according to The Scottish Sun.
Some youth players could also feature for the Glaswegian outfit, with the UEFA Youth League opener against Dynamo Kyiv around the corner.
Ross McCrorie, Ben Godfrey, Tuur Rommens, Vanja Dragojevic, Tochi Chukwuani and Bojan Miovski have all struggled for minutes this season.
The report doesn't mention where the match will take place or when it's scheduled to kick off.
Why Tochi Chukwuani is in pivotal moment at Ibrox
Chukwuani signed for Rangers in January for £4.3million and looked to be Raskin's successor.
However, the Danish midfielder has failed to live up to expectations at Ibrox and has fallen down the pecking order under McInnes.
Had Raskin left in the summer, the 23-year-old former Sturm Graz ace might have enjoyed regular minutes.
As things stand, Chukwuani finds himself at a crossroads, with the Scottish manager preferring other options in the middle of the park.
Unless the midfielder can turn things around, it wouldn't be surprising to see him push for an exit mid-season.
