How Minsu Kim could return to Spain after Rangers as expert wants Barcelona or Real Madrid transfer
Minsu Kim could be set for a bright future at Rangers and beyond.
The South Korea international has made an excellent start to life in Govan since signing from Girona.
There was little known about the attacker when he came in over the summer for £8.5million.
It is safe to say that he has made a positive impression, despite being yet to register a goal or assist.
That hasn't taken away from the performances of the 20-year-old so far for the Light Blues.
They have now prompted questions about what level Kim could reach as an expert speaks out.
How Minsu Kim could play for elite club
The 2006-born ace certainly has a way to go before he can be considered the best player at Ibrox.
His lack of goal output will eventually represent a concern, especially after spending upwards of £8m on him.
There will be hope that his performance levels will eventually end with him finding the net regularly in the Scottish Premiership.
Should he become a star in G51, Korean football expert Joel Kim could see him making a return to Spain.
The owner of the KNTFootball account across X, Instagram and YouTube dreams of the attacker featuring for an elite side one day.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Kim said: "Although it may take a few further steps to arrive there I get the sense that Minsu Kim could very much return to La Liga in the future, like his predecessor Kang-in Lee.
"If he does I’d very much love to see him be the first Korean to play for Barcelona or Real Madrid.
"Out of all our young prospects, I think he stands the most realistic chance to get signed in the future."
How Rangers will benefit from Kim success
It may seem to many at Ibrox that thinking that far ahead may come as a blow to their own prospects.
That could actually work in the opposite way.
To have Kim dreaming of playing for the best teams in the world should help Rangers, because if he doesn't perform, that goal won't be possible.
If he is to earn a big move back to Spain, or wherever else, he will have had to be a regular shining light in Govan.
That seeks to benefit the Gers for the short and long term.
Kim could easily fire Rangers to a league title and earn a move away, securing a profit for the Light Blues as a result.
Setting his sights high could prove to be exactly what Derek McInnes and Co. need from him.
