Youssef Chermiti speaks for everyone as Oliver Antman seals Rangers exit

Youssef Chermiti and Djeidi Gassama led the tributes after Oliver Antman's Rangers exit was confirmed.

Rangers announced in a statement late on Wednesday evening that Antman has joined Anderlecht.

The Finland international departs just a year after arriving at Ibrox from Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles.

As previously covered by Ibrox News, Rangers have made a small profit on Antman.

This is despite the winger struggling to come anywhere near the figures he registered the year prior in the Netherlands.

Antman was clearly a popular member of the Ibrox dressing room, however, as highlighted by the number of comments he has received.

What have Rangers players said about Oliver Antman exit?

Antman scored just one goal and assisted three more in the Scottish Premiership last season.

That is a far cry from the eight goals and 16 assists he registered in the Netherlands in 2024-25.

Yet he still departs with the best wishes of the Rangers fanbase, with supporters understanding he put in the effort but got little reward.

The fact Antman departs having made Rangers a profit - even as small as £500,000 - also ensures there are no bad wishes.

This was certainly reflected by Antman's now-former teammates, with Chermiti speaking on behalf of everyone when posting a love heart on the Instagram post confirming the transfer.

Gassama, meanwhile, said "Yes Oli", accompanied by a smiling face with love eyes.

Tuur Rommens posted: "Good luck, Oli."

Tochi Chukwuani and Mohamed Diomande also sent their best wishes.

And it may well be that Antman is not the only winger to depart Rangers over the next few days.

Who could be next out of Rangers exit door?

Derek McInnes is lacking in options out wide, and those options could soon become even more limited.

Ross McCausland may be next to leave Rangers, with Luton Town said to be a possible destination.

McInnes will surely be uncomfortable with his wide options dwindling, but new faces could yet arrive at Ibrox imminently.

Amario Cozier-Duberry and Jahnoah Markelo continue to be linked with Rangers, so fingers crossed for movement on that front before too long.
