Derek McInnes tells Rangers fans exactly how many new signings will be made as one imminent

Derek McInnes has shared an honest update on what Rangers fans can expect between now and the transfer window closing.

The Gers have until 5pm on Thursday to conclude their business - both incoming and outgoing.

However, many other transfer windows across Europe - including in England - will be shut long before then.

Rangers have been very active this summer up to now, with 12 arrivals through the door at Ibrox so far.

And number 13 is now not far away, as confirmed by McInnes in his latest update.

What has Derek McInnes said on next Rangers signing?

It is no secret that Rangers are pushing hard to sign Kevin Kelsy from Portland Timbers.

The latest news was that the striker was set to undergo a medical with the Gers ahead of confirmation being made.

McInnes has now all but confirmed that is the case, but he also revealed that will likely be it in terms of incoming activity this window.

Speaking to Sky Sports on Tuesday, McInnes said: "We're working hard to get one in.

"We're getting closer on that one, but we believe it's only going to be the one in.

"In terms of players out, there's been a few conversations had and it may well be things develop over the next 24-48 hours.

"Again, most clubs will be trying to do business in the last couple of days - we're no different."

So who exactly could these outgoing players be over the next 48 hours?

The Rangers exits that look most likely

If we're to take McInnes' word at face value - and there is no reason why he would lie - then that is it in terms of incomings after Kelsy.

That would be Rangers' 13th signing of a hectic summer, but the squad is now pretty bloated.

Plenty of players continue to be linked with an exit, with Lyall Cameron potentially the next out of Ibrox - albeit on loan.

Connor Barron is another to have been linked with a move away, as have Thelo Aasgaard, John Souttar, Bojan Miovski and others.

It is fair to say the next 48 hours will be more focused around exits than any further incomings at Ibrox.
