Rangers look set to let Lyall Cameron join Dundee United.

There have been ongoing talks between the two clubs, and a deal appears to be nearing an agreement.

The midfielder joined the Govan side this time last summer on a free, but the transfer just hasn't worked out.

Derek McInnes appears to have made his mind up on the former Dundee FC man, who was not going to get game time at Ibrox this term.

Now, Cameron looks to be heading to Dundee United on loan, and a deal should be wrapped up before Thursday's deadline.

When Rangers could sanction Lyall Cameron exit ahead of deadline

According to Record Sport, Cameron was at Rangers' training ground on Tuesday morning, and has been waiting for the green light for the move.

A move to Aberdeen in the second half of last season didn't help the 23-year-old, who is on the fringes already under McInnes.

Now, according to Scott Burns, Cameorn's loan deal to Dundee United should be confirmed on Tuesday, the same day he was training.

All parties will be hoping to conclude a deal before Thursday's deadline, and it looks like there should be no hitches in this one.

Will Cameron have a way back at Rangers?

One thing is for sure, and that is, if Cameron has another poor loan spell away from Rangers, he has no way back.

But, if the 23-year-old can find his form from his days with Dundee FC, he may have half a chance.

Cameron will most likely be a first-team starter with the Tannadice side, something which he has lacked in the past 12 months since moving to Govan.
