Danny Rohl not cut out to be Rangers manager after ‘crazy’ developments escalate
Danny Rohl has been told that he may not be the best man to take Rangers forward.
The German enjoyed a phenomenal start at Ibrox, pushing the Light Blues back into unlikely Scottish Premiership title contention within months.
That all fell apart after the split, though, with four straight defeats seeing that title slip from their grasp when they were almost favourites.
Alongside that collapse, Rangers also waved goodbye to James Tavernier in embarrassing fashion, with Rohl not letting him start his final game.
That became toxic as they waved goodbye to a servant of the club, and Derek Cornelius has now added to that dismay against the manager.

Derek Cornelius calls out Danny Rohl at Rangers
Cornelius started a loan spell from Marseille in great form in Govan, but injury made sure to bring that to a halt, unfortunately.
He was then frozen out after making his return to training at Auchenhowie, and was never seen again despite Rohl revealing he needed more conversations.

Gary Keown admits it’s not a great look for the manager.
Writing for the Daily Mail, the journalist believes that Cornelius admitting public disrespect after the Tavernier scandal is another reason why Rohl isn’t cut out for Ibrox.
“The way it worked out, the 34-year-old didn’t play at all. He appeared in his suit and tie pre-match for a strange, low-key, faintly sad presentation from John Greig,” Keown wrote.
“Reports had surfaced pre-match that he had left Ibrox and refused to be involved in the matchday squad at all. It was crazy.

“Cornelius coming out of the woodwork to vent over his treatment just adds to the suspicion that the one-time Sheffield Wednesday manager simply isn’t cut out for the particular challenges of life as an Old Firm boss.
“What happened with Cornelius at Ibrox is a bit of a mystery, all right. Not half as mystifying, though, as why chairman Andrew Cavenagh is hanging his hat — and his reputation — on Rohl for next term.”
Could Danny Rohl leave Rangers?
Wolfsburg have already been linked with Rohl after their season ended in relegation from the Bundesliga, but that appears highly unlikely.
The German instead looks set to stay in Govan after backing from Andrew Cavenagh, which has shown itself in the transfer market already, too.
Rangers moved quickly to secure the signing of Lawrence Shankland from Hearts, with his contract allowing him to be signed for nothing.

But, this will be a warning to many around Ibrox.
One player coming out and disagreeing with the manager is somewhat normal, but if that keeps increasing, there is clearly an issue.
Cornelius not playing isn’t the issue, it seems, and fans won’t be too bothered about their players being preferred over loan signings, but the disrespect doesn’t sound very good.
Rohl needs to deliver silverware in his first full season in charge now; he has enjoyed his grace period and can’t be allowed to carry on without delivering.
He needs a Rangers squad that can deliver that, but it looks as though he’s being very brutal with that.
