Nasser Djiga is set to be the next player through the door at Rangers.

Russell Martin's side have already sealed several new additions, with many more set to follow in the coming weeks, including Djiga.

The 49ers have put plenty of onus on improving the Rangers' defence, with Max Aarons and Emmanuel Fernandez already adding to the backline.

Wolves starlet Djiga is expected to be the next, as he prepares to meet his new teammates in blue.

Djiga set to meet Rangers team at St George's Park

Wolves defender Djiga is set to make the move to Ibrox on a season-long loan, with no buy option.

The signing could now shift Rangers' attention away from bolstering their defence onto adding depth in the final third for Martin.

Djiga has provided an extra aerial threat

The Daily Record has reported in its print edition (pg 46, 8 July) that Djiga will be introduced to his new teammates once they arrive at St George's Park for a week-long training camp in England.

The defender has now agreed to make the move to Ibrox, with official confirmation soon.

It has also been reported that Wolves boss Vitor Pereira is still a big admirer of the 6'4" defender, hence why there is no buy-out clause inserted.

The tall ball-playing defender will add a nice mix of physicality and technicality to Martin's defence and could provide a goal threat by getting on the end of Joe Rothwell or James Tavernier set pieces.

Rangers must now switch their focus to improving their attack

With Cyriel Dessers subject to interest from elsewhere, Martin must prioritise improving his forward line before the start of the season.

The Blues have so far failed to add to their attack but have recently been linked to the likes of Jesurun Rak-Sakyi from Crystal Palace.

While the lack of reinforcements upfront are a worry, the 49ers and Andrew Cavenagh have shown efficiency in the transfer window and will no doubt sort out their worries.
