‘Rangers risk major ridicule’ amid latest Rak-Sakyi transfer update

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has been linked with a move to Rangers this summer transfer window.

Rangers have started to accelerate their summer recruitment plans over the last few weeks and have shown no signs of stopping there.

Russell Martin’s side have been linked with a move for Weslley Patati, as well as his Tel Aviv teammate Dor Turgeman, though the latest news has seen Crystal Palace forward Rak-Sakyi mooted for a Glasgow switch.

The 22-year-old spent the last campaign on loan at Championship outfit Sheffield United, and could be on the move again this summer.

Crystal Palace set price for Rak-Sakyi exit

Rak-Sakyi is an exciting young talent, but his lack of end product started to show throughout his loan spell with the Blades last season.

Now back at Palace, the Eagles seem keen on offloading him permanently this summer, though reports claim that they will demand a £10million fee to do so, with Rangers linked with a move.

Rak-Sakyi was unable to guide the Blades to Premier League promotion last season.

At that price, Rangers would be taking a massive gamble, and it is unlikely to be one that pays off if they were to pursue it.

Rak-Sakyi would become one of the record arrivals in the Scottish Premiership, and if he were to fail, the Light Blues would face major ridicule for the decision to take the punt on him.

Hamza Igamane serves as reminder for Rangers business

Big money arrivals in Scotland very rarely pay off, and in fact, it is quite the opposite that has prevailed at Rangers as of late.

Hamza Igamane was brought in for a low fee, and through development and patience, his value has skyrocketed, and that is the approach that the Gers need to take this summer.

The English market is massively inflated, and it is one that Rangers need to avoid as much as possible this transfer window.
