Rangers ‘give Martin his wish’ as deal struck for Wolves gem Djiga

Nasser Djiga appears to be on route to Rangers this summer.

Recruitment has often been the biggest downfall at Rangers in recent years, though that appears to be a major change made under the ownership of the 49ers.

The Light Blues have already sealed several new additions, and are expected to conclude many more before the new campaign gets underway.

One of those to have been linked recently was Wolves defender Djiga, with a new update emerging on his future at the Premier League side.

Djiga set to sign for Rangers as Wolves deal agreed

Through the signing of Max Aarons, Martin has already seen his Rangers backline bolstered this summer, though it appears as though they are not done yet.

That is because Wolves defender Djiga is set to make the move to Ibrox on a season-long loan, according to a report shared by Liam Keen via X (7 July).

The 22-year-old will not have any buy-clause installed into his contract, though it will provide more options for Martin, who will be delighted with the business so far.

His wish to have his squad bolstered before the Champions League qualifiers get underway seems to have been granted, with Djiga’s arrival imminent.

Rangers are showing ambition this summer

Celtic walked away with the league title last season, with Rangers barely putting up a fight, and that is the task that awaits Martin next season.

He needs to turn this side into one that is capable of competing for domestic success, and the 49ers seem as though they are giving him access to the tools needed to do so via the transfer market.

Of course, there is still a lot of work to be done this summer, but all of the signs are pointing in the right direction at Ibrox.

Next, signing attacking quality will be a priority for the Light Blues, who have already identified several new targets over the last few days.
