Todd Cantwell reacts to James Tavernier message after Rangers loss v Man United
Todd Cantwell has liked a social media post from James Tavernier after Rangers fell to defeat against Manchester United on Thursday.
The Gers travelled to Old Trafford on 23 January and suffered a 2-1 win with Bruno Fernandes scoring a winner just four minutes after Cyriel Dessers levelled the scores.
After losing to the Premier League outfit, the Light Blues skipper reached out to fans on Instagram (23 January) and said: “Gutted to have not taken any points tonight. However, proud of the courage and fight we put up throughout.
“Top support from the travelling fans in the corner and in Manchester, get back safe. Let’s get the place rocking next Thursday at home.”
This post was liked by former Ibrox attacker Cantwell despite his departure to Blackburn Rovers during the summer window.

It is safe to say that the 26-year-old isn’t necessarily well-liked after forcing an exit from Govan in August, 18 months after signing from Norwich City.
Regardless of the fans’ opinions of the Englishman, Cantwell appears to have fond memories and good relationships at Ibrox.
This has seen him react to Tavernier’s post after the defeat at Old Trafford which was so nearly a memorable night for the travelling Gers supporters.
Jack Butland’s own goal was a moment of madness but was quickly forgotten when Dessers took an excellent touch before providing a devastating finish into the bottom corner.

It is disappointing that Philippe Clement’s side couldn’t hold out for a positive point on the road in the Europa League but that doesn’t take away from the performance.
It is clear that the Light Blues’ captain was gutted to have not taken anything from the Red Devils after a hard-fought 90 minutes which was appreciated by Cantwell.
