Rangers forward in talks over joining English club – Chris Jack
Wycombe Wanderers are in talks to sign Alex Lowry from Rangers, according to Chris Jack.
The journalist reported via the Rangers Review website that the League One club are leading the chase to sign Lowry before the winter transfer window closes on 3 February.
Lowry is expected to put an end to his time at Ibrox imminently after being told he will not be offered a new contract at the end of the season.
Alex Lowry to leave Ibrox as Rangers talks emerge
Lowry was considered one of the most exciting talents in Rangers’ ranks at one point, but it appears his future lies away from Ibrox.
The 21-year-old has his contract with the Glasgow giants expiring at the end of the season and does not have an option to extend his stay.
Therefore, it makes sense for him to seek regular playing time elsewhere, with Wycombe a promising option.
The Chairboys are on course to earn promotion to the Championship as they are placed second in League One, sitting three points above third-placed Wrexham after 26 games.

Lowry may have the opportunity to help Wycombe earn promotion and subsequently play in the Championship if he joins them during the winter transfer window.
As for Rangers, the midfielder’s exit is not going to make much of a difference as he is unlikely to command a significant transfer fee as well.
However, there is also no point keeping him at the club, considering the fact that he has featured just thrice for Philippe Clement’s side this season.
In other Rangers news, the Light Blues are tipped to “brutally move on” with an Ibrox transfer.
