Simon Jordan now a Rangers ally after Ibrox scenes, Patrick Stewart must listen
Rangers supporters have formed a love-hate relationship with Simon Jordan over the years as he continues to comment on Ibrox events.
The talkSPORT co-host is often spot-on when talking about the Ibrox hierarchy or Philippe Clement’s rocky reign in Glasgow, but many are often left frustrated after listening to his on-air rants.
He has once again shared his thoughts after the Union Bears led a mid-game protest against the Gers boardroom as Clement led his side to a 3-1 win over St Johnstone on Sunday (12 January).
Speaking live via talkSPORT [13 January, 11:23am], Jordan said: “Football clubs are unique businesses, and the lifeblood of them are fans. If they’re not being disruptive, in the same way other fanbases have in the past, there’s nothing wrong.
“When fans were booing players taking the knee, I felt if you didn’t like something, don’t get involved, don’t be disruptive. In this instance, they’re saying we don’t accept the way this club is being run.
“We’ve seen the level of incompetence from some of them. I don’t have a massive problem with it. I don’t like it, but I think it might concentrate people’s minds.”
Rangers hierarchy sent message after Ibrox protest
While the main focus has been on Clement’s tenure in recent months, there are far bigger issues to be addressed at Ibrox and Stewart must be listening to the surrounding voices.
The most important frustration amongst the supporters is the gap between the Light Blues and their Old Firm rivals Celtic, on and off the pitch over the years.

The 15-point gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership is just a symbol of how far the club are behind the Hoops in all departments, especially financially.
Stewart will now just be realising just how big of a mess he inherited when taking over the CEO reigns in November, and if he is to solve any of the current problems, he must open his ears and take points on board.
