Stan Collymore riles Rangers fans with reaction to what they did v Tottenham
Stan Collymore riled Rangers fans after his reaction to their pre-match display against Tottenham at Ibrox.
Ahead of a big clash, which ended with a 1-1 draw, Rangers fans made their feelings clear with a banner that read “Make Rangers great again” on display.
Although the Gers were unable to come away with a victory, the side put in a good performance in Thursday’s (12 December) Europa League clash.
However, Collymore took to X to post a gif from The Office which implied he wasn’t impressed with the display. Angry Rangers fans were quick to make their feelings known.
Philippe Clement needs to turn things around at Rangers
Despite a solid draw tonight, there is still plenty of work to be done at Ibrox if the Gers are going to turn their fortunes around this season.
Since Clement’s arrival at the club, the Scottish Premiership outfit has been characterised by their poor results and lack of spirit under their new boss so it’s no surprise that there have been questions over his future and supporters demanding better from their team.
A solid draw against a good side on Thursday should serve as some hope for the club that they can continue to keep progressing this season with the ability to play some good football.
There is plenty of progress to be done before Rangers fans will be happy with their side.
However, on an evening where many backed their opponents to get a big win, this will surely serve as a reassurance that there is talent in the squad.
There is now a truly massive clash with Celtic to come at the weekend and that, more than the Spurs result, will determine the mood heading into the New Year.
