Rangers earn multi-million windfall at Ibrox ahead of Tottenham and Man United
Rangers have already earned almost £6million from their exploits in the Europa League this season, Dan Plumley has said.
Philippe Clement has enjoyed wins over Malmo, FCSB and OGC Nice, ahead of games against Tottenham and Manchester United to come.
Plumley, a football finance expert, revealed that wins are worth around £370,000 to clubs in the Europa League, with the rewards growing if you enter the knockout rounds.
“It is around £370,000 per win in the group stages,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“It’s around £124,000 for a draw, so three wins and a draw plus the participation fee, that’s in the region of £4.75million already, we know we have the TV pillar to come as well.
Rangers earn millions after recent developments
“There will be some performance-related bonuses to follow linked to where they finish and then hopefully, into the knockouts, so the pot of money will hopefully increase for Rangers.
“Even based on the participation fee and the wins alone at the minute, it’s nearly £6million.“

John Gilligan and the makeshift board at Ibrox are open to fresh investment, which is needed, but positive runs in Europe can help the balance sheet massively.
The Champions League windfall is unrivalled, which is why it’s important for Rangers to get as far as they can in the Europa League, starting against Tottenham on 12 December.
Clement welcomes the under-pressure Ange Postecoglou back to Glasgow, with his injury issues mounting at the Premier League side with even talk of the sack – that will be fun.
In other Rangers news, Manchester United’s game against the Light Blues has affected their plans in the Premier League as the Red Devils make an objection.
