Rangers tipped to complete last-ditch centre-forward signing on top of Morgan Whittaker and Nicolas Raskin – pundit
We’re delighted to welcome Tam McManus as our exclusive Rangers columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…
Rangers will have a “very good” January transfer window if they can sign a new centre-forward in the coming days, according to Tam McManus.
Michael Beale has already added Todd Cantwell to his squad from Norwich while Swansea winger Morgan Whittaker [Fabrizio Romano] and Standard Liege midfielder Nicolas Raskin [Daily Record] have also been strongly linked with late January moves to Ibrox.
If Beale can sign all of them, McManus would then like to see him and Ross Wilson go out and land a new striker before the transfer window shuts on Tuesday night (31 January).

“It would be a good window if they get a wide player and two midfielders,” McManus told Ibrox News.
“I think they need a striker as well. I
“f you look at the striker options Rangers have at the minute, Antonio Colak has been injured, Kemar Roofe is always injured and Alfredo Morelos is hot and cold.
“They need another striker so four players are maybe needed.
“If they get Whittaker and a striker, it’ll be a very good window for Rangers.
“There are still a couple of days to go so there might be an opportunity to bring a striker in.”

Rangers have been linked with a move for Sunderland striker Ross Stewart this month.
However, as reported by the Daily Record on 26 January, Sunderland are after £10million for the Scotland international, which obviously prices the Gers out of a move.
Barry Ferguson told The Go Radio Football Show, as quoted by the Daily Record on Wednesday (25 January), that Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet should be someone who his former club looks at this month.
In other Rangers news, a club in Europe holds the option to re-sign a player from Ibrox whenever they like.
