Rangers' hunt for new wide attackers has grown with Jahnoah Markelo emerging as an option.

The 23-year-old only joined Coventry City back in January, but after just five appearances in the Championship, he struggled to make his mark.

With Frank Lampard's men now set to battle it out in the Premier League, a player who could not step up in the second tier is unlikely to be heavily involved.

Is Markelo the type of winger Rangers need?

McInnes has spoken about needing "difference makers" at Ibrox and if the Scotsman can instill confidence in the winger, he could be just that.

The data listed above points to an aggressive one-versus-one winger, who constantly looks to take his man on.

Having the ability to open up a defence or create an attack with your dribbling would certainly fit the criteria of a "difference maker."

Whether the Gers do push along for a move will remain to be seen, but it is clear how and why he has emerged upon their shortlist this summer.
