Rangers Review journalist Chris Jack didn't expect the Belgium international to be at Ibrox at this stage of the season, but there has been no movement yet.

There's nothing to suggest currently that the midfielder's exit from the Glaswegian outfit is imminent.

One fan also suggested whether the Govan side would look to keep Raskin at the risk of running down his contract, but Jack dismissed those suggestions.

The Belgian ace is one of the most valuable assets in G51 and now feels like the right time to get the best value for him.

Speaking on the Rangers Review on 13 August, Jack said, "I expected him not to be a Rangers player by this stage. Nothing concrete to suggest anything is imminent on that. And the second point, I don't think Rangers will let his contract run down. That would be daft."

Why Derek McInnes is now left with Ibrox headache

Rangers seemed to be preparing for Raskin's departure, having signed Dan Neil, Cammy Devlin and Vanja Dragojevic.

With several players arriving to bolster the midfield, McInnes is now arguably left with an unbalanced squad.

If the Belgian midfielder were to stay at Ibrox, the Scottish manager would surely have to make a harsh call on one of his other options in the engine room.

While Raskin can play a big role in leading the Glaswegian outfit to success, McInnes can't decide on his starting lineup as long as the midfielder's future isn't resolved.
