Why Clinton Nsiala could still exit Rangers in next 48 hours in 'one to keep an eye on'

Clinton Nsiala could still leave Rangers this week, despite the transfer window recently closing for Scottish clubs.

Teams had until 5pm on Thursday to conclude their business, with that proving to be another busy day for the Gers.

Kevin Kelsy joined from Portland Timbers, while Badredine Bouanani arrived on loan from Stuttgart.

A number of exits were also sanctioned late in the window, with Connor Barron joining Middlesbrough on loan and Thelo Aasgaard heading to Anderlecht.

Many were surprised Nsiala did not depart Ibrox, but there is still time for that to change.

The defender has yet to feature this season and his future remains in the balance.

Where could Clinton Nsiala be heading this week?

Pafos FC were credited with an interest in Nsiala last week, with the window still open for Cypriot sides until this Wednesday.

However, Inside Ibrox reported on Monday that Nsiala is not on Pafos' list of options.

Instead, domestic rivals Omonoia Nicosia are named as potentially showing some late interest.

The report states Omonoia making a move for Nsiala is "one to keep an eye on" prior to the window shutting.

Nsiala is said to share the same agency as Omonoia's manager Yannick Ferrera, meaning there is already a link there.

Could any other Rangers players still be off?

The transfer window also remains open for teams in Greece for another week, plus clubs in Saudi Arabia for another month.

That means there could yet be some movement in terms of Rangers' fringe players.

Bojan Miovski is another who could leave Rangers should a team from one of those countries show an interest.

The North Macedonia international will not be happy with his situation at Ibrox.

However, Lawrence Shankland's potential three-month layoff does open the door slightly for more minutes.

But right now, Nsiala appears to be the most likely player to head for the exit.
