When Vanja Dragojevic transfer could happen as Rangers-linked star placed on 'special regime'
Rangers are continuing work on a deal to bring Vanja Dragojevic to Ibrox this summer.
The Gers have been busy shaping their squad for new boss Derek McInnes early in the transfer window.
Lawrence Shankland had already joined before McInnes also made the hop from Hearts to Rangers.
Ross McCrorie, Ben Godfrey, Dan Neil, and Ivor Pandur have all consequently arrived to boost McInnes' squad.
But Rangers are still extremely active in the market, and 20-year-old midfielder Dragojevic has emerged as a leading target.
And it appears as though Partizan are taking precautions to ensure a deal does not fall through in the coming days.
Partizan move to protect Vanja Dragojevic transfer to Rangers
Rangers have already added Neil to their midfield ranks in the summer transfer window.
Lewis Ferguson is also being tipped to depart Bologna to link back up with McInnes, who was his boss at Aberdeen.
But Dragojevic is also thought to be close to agreeing a move to Govan, although the Daily Record stated that Partizan want another £1million of add-ons on top of the £3.8m Rangers are offering.
Now, though, Serbian news outlet Telegraf is reporting that Dragojevic has been placed on a "special regime".
Partizan are keen to ensure that Dragojevic does not pick up an injury as a transfer could happen in the coming days.
Is Nico Raskin headed for Rangers exit door?
While Rangers are working hard on incomings, it feels inevitable that some players will be shipped out this summer.
With the arrival of Neil, and the pursuits of Ferguson and Dragojevic, Rangers are clearly keen on adding to their midfield ranks this summer.
Which means that Nico Raskin might be on his way out of Ibrox this summer, amid reports of interest in the Belgian.
His former Belgium boss Domenico Tedesco is in charge of Bologna, who have been linked with a swoop for Raskin.
Premier League new boys Hull City are also said to be tracking his situation as they look to build for their return to the top flight.
Raskin has a contract until 2028, so still have a strong hand in any potential negotiations, but now might be the time to cash in.
