What Rangers now need to wait for after Vaclav Cerny transfer deadlock
Rangers have been negotiating a deal with Besiktas for Vaclav Cerny.
The Czech national has been a concrete target for the Gers ahead of the 5pm transfer deadline on 3 September.
While the Light Blues have been in talks with the Super Lig club for the 28-year-old, a potential deal has come to a standstill.
The Ibrox side have so far failed to convince Besiktas to sell Cerny.
Derek McInnes has already seen Kim Min-su walk through the door at the Glaswegian outfit, but it looks like he wants additional reinforcements in attack.

Why Besiktas are now reluctant to sell Vaclav Cerny amid Rangers interest
Besiktas were said to be open to Cerny's sale if the Gers could come up with an offer of around £8.5million.
However, it looks like the Light Blues have been unable to convince the Istanbul side so far.
According to Yeni Acik journalist Ertan Suzgun on 1 September, Besiktas' activity on the right-wing has decreased due to Cerny's performances and the Glaswegian outfit's inability to reach an agreement over a transfer fee.
The Super Lig club are also reluctant to part ways with the Czechia winger so close to the deadline without a replacement lined up.
It looks like the Govan side will need to see whether the Turkish team can reinforce their attack in the coming hours to possibly make another push for Cerny's return to Ibrox.
What Derek McInnes attack could look like after transfer deadline
McInnes eased some of the pressure on him after Rangers beat Aberdeen 1-0 at Pittodrie.
Kim Min-su was immediately brought into the starting lineup and played just behind the striker, Lawrence Shankland.
Findlay Curtis and Djedi Gassama were preferred on the wings and had some decent moments in the game.
Portland Timbers striker Kevin Kelsy seems to be on his way to Govan.
If the Glaswegian outfit get a quality right-winger through the door in the coming days, McInnes may have a slightly different attacking setup for the rest of the season.
