Vanja Dragojevic has one foot in Rangers transfer, could he be announced in Spain?
Vanja Dragojević could be next through the door at Rangers.
Derek McInnes and his squad are currently in Spain for their pre-season training camp, but that hasn't slowed things down.
Cammy Devlin was announced as the sixth signing of the summer on Saturday, and they aren't stopping there.
Devlin, another midfielder, has followed his manager and Lawrence Shankland from Hearts to Ibrox.
He won't be joining up with the squad in Spain, with an extended holiday break after the World Cup.
But, that doesn't apply to Dragojevic.
How close is Vanja Dragojevic to Rangers?
In short, it seems very close.
MaxBet Sport has reported that the Serbian midfielder has "one foot" outside of Partizan already.
It's said that a move is practically done and just awaiting final details and official announcements.
They say that Partizan have even agreed a deal for Dragojevic's replacement already, Slavia Prague midfielder Timothy Ouma.
Rangers transfer state of play in Spain
While fitness and preperation for the new season will take centre stage, transfers are not far behind.
In fact, John Souttar and Danilo have both been left behind in Glasgow to sort moves away in the coming weeks.
That makes sense, given that incoming transfers aren't slowing down.
Dragojevic could join Dan Neil and Devlin as a new midfielder, yet no movement has stated the other way.
Nicolas Raskin is heavily wanted and will likely fetch millions, but the likes of Connor Barron and Mohammed Diomande could also move on.
Rangers will have to pay £5.5million to sign Dragojevic, so with the transfer moving closer, exits will need to follow.
With such a serious outlay, it does continue to beg the question of just how badly he is actually needed.
Either way, it looks like it's happening.
Rangers are in Spain for the next six days, so if it's done soon, Dragojevic could find himself joining his new teammates abroad.
With the World Cup slowly coming to an end, transfer activity is only going to ramp up, which could open the door to several exits from Ibrox.
If Dragojevic does make it seven signings already, McInnes will be ready to start trimming his squad.
It's desperately needed.
