Vaclav Cerny has made his first Instagram post since 2025 as rumours of a return to Rangers pick up.

The Bears are keen to re-sign their former loanee, although permanently this time, after a successful spell at Ibrox in the 2024-25 season.

Cerny became somewhat of a fan favourite in Govan after racking up a combined total of 27 goals and assists for the Gers, impressing not only domestically but in European competitions.

The Czech winger returned to Wolfsburg following his stay at Ibrox, but was then quickly sold to Turkish side Besiktas last summer.

Now, the forward could be leaving the Turkish giants 12 months on, with the Light Blues interested once again.

Cerny has only added fuel to the fire regarding a move back to Rangers with his latest social media antics.

Vaclav Cerny disables key Instagram feature amid Rangers speculation

Ibrox News gathered information that Rangers tabled a £5.1million bid for Cerny, which was quickly rejected by Besiktas.

However, it's said that Andrew Cavenagh and Co. are still confident of bringing the right-winger back home and adding him to Derek McInnes' squad.

It's reported that Rangers are set to return with another offer for the 28-year-old, who is keen on coming back to Ibrox.

There is a belief that a deal can be done for less than £8.5m, a fee that the 49ers may be content to pay.

Cerny posted to Instagram for the first time in months on Monday, which has only added further speculation of his potential Besiktas departure.

His last post on his social media page appears to be from December last year, as his latest upload features pictures of him in training and others of his family, with no caption attached.

Former Gers shot-stopper Jack Butland liked his most recent post.

Interestingly, Cerny's upload currently has just five comments compared to his previous one, which had over 13,000, as it appears he's now limited access to certain users who can comment.

Cerny's stats show he's not faded since Rangers exit

Cerny actually started his competitive season off with a goal for Wolfsburg before being sold to Besiktas for around £6m.

He then went on to make 34 appearances for the Black Eagles, scoring seven times and assisting eight.

He still has a wand of a left foot, and would be appreciated at Ibrox after Gers fans had to put up with Andreas Skov Olsen last season.

Can Rangers get the deal done? Time will tell.
