Rangers are going to have continue showing patience in their pursuit of Partizan midfielder Vanja Dragojevic this summer.

The Gers are keen on the 20-year-old promising talent, but will have to continue working on a deal to find an agreement with the Mozzart Bet Super League side.

As things stand, the Light Blues have tabled an offer worth around £3.8million, but the Serbian club are holding out for another million in add-ons.

Dragojevic's move to Ibrox seems to be on the cards, but Andrew Cavenagh will surely be looking to make some changes before sanctioning another multi-million deal.

The Glaswegian outfit have spent £7million on five signings this summer — Lawrence Shankland, Ross McCrorie, Ben Godfrey, Ivor Pandur and Dan Neil.

Derek McInnes is looking to build a competitive squad for next season, but further additions in the engine room may have to wait.

Everything said about Vanja Dragojevic as deal could hinge on Nicolas Raskin

Nicolas Raskin is currently with the Belgium national team amid uncertainty around his future at the Gers.

The midfielder is attracting interest from top teams around Europe this summer and his situation at the Light Blues will likely remain unresolved as long as Rudi Garcia's team are at the World Cup.

As long as the 25-year-old is at the Glaswegian outfit, there is arguably no need for them to push for Dragojevic's signature.

Radosav Petrovic, Partizan's new sporting director, has admitted that there's still a long way to go in negotiations despite the Govan side's interest in the Serbian international.

Speaking to the media via Mozzart Sport on 4 July, he said, "We are waiting, there are certain developments, but nothing concrete is happening."

Nicolas Raskin transfer latest at Rangers

Atalanta have been heavily linked with Raskin in the transfer window as he continues to shine on the international stage.

While Rangers want around £21.5m for the Belgian star, positive performances in North America could push his value to over £25.7m

The midfielder has entered the final two years of his contract at Ibrox and it remains to be seen whether the Govan side can keep him for another season.

While Raskin's exit feels inevitable in G51, he could end up staying, given the similar uncertainty about his future last summer.
