Rangers respond to late Djedi Gassama transfer bid as multi-million financial reveal shared
Djeidi Gassama is facing an uncertain week at Rangers.
As clubs around Europe race to finish their transfer business, the Bears have until 3 September in Scotland.
All eyes are currently on incomings with big money being thrown away to bolster Derek McInnes' squad.
Kim Min-su is next through the door, with Rangers also having a £9.5million bid accepted for Kevin Kelsy.
With two attacking reinforcements on the way for nearly £20m combined, Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers may want some sales in return.
Gassama may be next in line for just that, and much sooner than many expected.
Rangers face double Djeidi Gassama bid
After interest and money being put on the table by Monaco in the last window, others have joined the race.
Many were happy to sell Gassama at Ibrox, given his lack of end product in the final third.
Now, Sebastien Denis has reported that Monza and Parma have both bid £5.9million for the winger.
It's said that Rangers have waved those offers away already, with higher figures demanded.
With three years left on his contract at Ibrox, and only arriving for around £2m, serious profit could be on the way soon.
Rangers have spent big, but maybe this response proves that they don't desperately need to sell players to stay in line, too.
How are Rangers looking for wingers?
The arrival of Min-su for £8.5m will be another huge boost and statement being made from Ibrox.
Activating his release clause, Girona didn't actually want to sell the Korean.
But, he's on his way to Rangers to join Gassama, Findlay Curtis and another summer signing, Daisuke Yokota.
And with Amario Cozier-Duberry still wanted from Brighton, Gassama could be on the chopping block soon.
The winger was on the flight to Prague as Rangers prepare to take on Jablonec with a 1-0 lead in their Conference League play-off.
Gassama making a different or not on Thursday could be the difference between him staying and moving on.
McInnes wasn't happy with him over a missed chance in the first leg, so he really needs to keep proving himself to be better than that.
