Nicolas Raskin exit talk at Rangers could be about to ramp up once again ahead of the winter transfer window.

The Belgium international was the subject of much interested throughout the summer.

Raskin's displays for his national side at the World Cup only saw that interest intensify.

However, Rangers' hefty asking price - which many will argue is more than justified - saw the midfielder remain at Ibrox beyond the deadline.

As things stand, though, Raskin will be out of Rangers come the end of next season.

That means his valuation is only going to decrease from this point on, which teams are hoping to pounce on.

Fourth attempt set to be made for Nicolas Raskin deal

Aston Villa were one of the sides linked with Raskin in the summer, without a move materialising.

Hull City are also reported to have made a bid early in the window, while multiple Euro clubs also made approaches.

One of those was Besiktas, who have failed with three attempts to sign the 25-year-old.

According to Takvim, Besiktas intend to make a fourth approach for Raskin in 2027.

The Turkish outlet states that Leonardo Trossard, who won the Premier League with Arsenal last season before joining Besiktas will be used to "convince" his international teammate to join.

It is claimed that a meeting is being planned between the pair so that Trossard can talk up Turkish football and Besiktas.

Rangers may consider offers in January if Raskin does not agree fresh terms before then, which is not likely.

How much do Rangers now want for Raskin?

It was reported in the summer that Rangers wanted as much as £25million for Raskin, which would smash the club's current transfer record.

However, the report above from Turkey implies that an offer in the region of £13m could now tempt the Gers, knowing he will be a free agent 17 months from then.

That fee seems way too low on the face of it, regardless of Raskin's contract situation.

Ultimately, if a team wants to splash out on Raskin, they will find the money Rangers want.

Even then he will need convincing it is the right move for him, though that is where Trossard comes into the equation in this particular scenario.
