New bid suggests if it'll be Rangers or Celtic who sign Fares Ghedjemis
After a stunning 2025-26 season in which the Algeria international scored 15 goals in 37 Serie B games, Rangers have shown an interest in raiding Frosinone for their star man.
Derek McInnes' men kicked off their 2026-27 Scottish Premiership campaign in less-than-spectacular fashion on Friday with a 1-1 draw away at Dundee United.
McInnes' side lacked a cutting edge that Rangers no doubt think that Ghedjemis will be able to offer them.
However, Old Firm rivals Celtic are battling the Light Blues for a deal.
And the Parkhead club has blinked first in the transfer race.
Frosinone respond to Celtic's advance for Fares Ghedjemis
Sky Sports Italy journalist Luca Bendoni reported via his X account on Sunday night that Celtic have made an offer for Ghedjemis.
It remains to be seen what their proposal was worth, but it is understood that Frosinone have rejected it.
Bendoni claims that the Serie A newboys "dream of keeping" the 23-year-old for the upcoming campaign after he played such a key role in their promotion victory last time out.

Unfortunately, those reasons are also why Celtic want him and Frosinone are not open to a sale.
What now for Rangers, Celtic and Fares Ghedjemis?
As it stands, the ball is in the court of the Italians.
Frosinone can offer Ghedjemis the chance to play regularly against some of the top clubs in European football after he helped them win promotion to Serie A last season.
Rangers and Celtic can promise European football to the goal-hungry right-winger - but what kind of European football will depend on how upcoming qualifiers go.
Rangers face Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok in the third qualifying round of the Europa League within the next two weeks, while Celtic have a Champions League play-off round to contend with later this month.
This could be one of those that rumbles on late into the summer, but Celtic being the first club to bid for Ghedjemis does put them in a stronger position right now to strike a deal, despite their proposal being booted into touch.
