Kenny Miller is excited by the prospect of Rangers' transfer business this summer, including the potential return of Mikey Moore.

The Gers have already been action in the first few weeks of the window as they look to provide Derek McInnes with a title-winning squad.

Lawrence Shankland, like McInnes, made the switch from Hearts to Ibrox, to boost Rangers' striker options.

And Ross McCrorie has also returned to Govan from Bristol City, five years after departing full time for Aberdeen, where he played under McInnes.

Rangers are still contuining at a pace to bring more players through the door, as they look to put last season's disappointing third-place finish behind them.

A return to Tottenham forward Moore would certainly be welcome following his strong performances last term.

Teenager Moore, 18, scored seven goals and provided three assists in 33 Scottish Premiership appearances last season.

Moore grew in stature as the season went on, and there would be genuine excitement if he were back at Ibrox next term.

The latest from the Daily Record on his potential return is that Tottenham are opening to loaning Moore back to Rangers, but are reluctant to sanction a full sale.

Former Rangers striker Miller spoke to Football Fancast to give his thoughts on Moore, and shared his belief that more transfers will be on the way.

"It’s another important summer at Ibrox because another new manager’s in and the squad definitely needs a bit of strengthening," Miller said.

"It looks like Mikey Moore could maybe be coming back on loan, which I think would be a decent option for the player and the club.

"So there will be more players coming in and Rangers just need to make sure they are the right types to add to their current group."

Who else could Rangers sign this summer?

It is expected to be an extremely busy close season for the hierarchy at Rangers.

The early business has been decent, with Shankland a proven goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership, and McCrorie well versed in the demands of playing in Scotland's top flight.

Other early rumours have been Rangers linked with bringing former loanee Vaclav Cerny back to Ibrox, with the 28-year-old currently with Beskitas in Turkey.

Westerlo full-back Bryan Reynolds is another name who has been linked with Rangers, and would add defensive competition.

It promises to be an exciting summer, but it is absolutely imperative that Rangers finally get their recruitment right.
