Jayden Meghoma set to join Portsmouth after surprise Rangers twist
Jayden Meghoma looks set to find his new home after his Rangers loan spell last season.
The 20-year-old left-back spent the entirety of the 2025-26 campaign at Ibrox on loan from Brentford.
He turned out 44 times in all competitions for Gers, scoring once and providing six assists.
Starting 25 of his 29 Scottish Premiership games, he fell out of favour in Govan following the January signing of Tuur Rommens.
Despite that, talk had been beginning to mount over recent days of a potential return to Rangers for him this summer.

It was recently reported that Rangers were deciding between Meghoma and James Penrice on who to sign.
Of course, it was the latter who ended up joining, and now Meghoma seems to have found a new destination away from Brentford.
Journalist Darren Witcoop claims that English Championship side Portsmouth are closing in on Meghoma.
The Bees outcast is claimed to be the first of three players to join Portsmouth before England's 11pm transfer deadline on Tuesday.
But would Meghoma have been a good fit under new Rangers boss Derek McInnes?
Why Meghoma could've been even better under McInnes
If there's one thing that McInnes has really shown he wants to do at Rangers is to play aggressive, attacking football.
Even in the majority of the games where points have been dropped, his Gers team have been the far more superior in terms of shots and chances created.
Most of the players signed so far this summer have been brought in with this philosophy in mind, and Meghoma would've ticked that box too.
He's a very front-footed wide player who could even have been signed as a winger, and McInnes would've surely appreciated his crossing ability too.
So, the pressure is on Penrice to be a success, as otherwise Rangers may end up feeling like they signed the wrong player.
