Rangers are still searching for a new winger amid speculation around Lechia Gdansk forward Camilo Mena.

There have been suggestions that the 23-year-old Colombian attacker is a target for Derek McInnes at the Gers.

The Light Blues pulled out of a deal to sign Couhaib Driouech from PSV Eindhoven and continue to scour the market for reinforcements.

Mena is being heavily linked with a move to Ibrox, but a transfer may not be as imminent as it seems.

Lechia were relegated to the second tier in Poland last season and seemingly face concerns around their finances.

The 23-year-old right-winger is one of the assets they can cash in on, but it remains to be seen whether Glasgow will be his next destination.

Rangers transfer truth emerges in Camilo Mena transfer update

There have been rumours around Mena being very close to joining Rangers.

The noise in Poland seems to indicate that the Gers are prepared to bring the winger to Ibrox soon.

However, the ever-reliable Chris Jack has dismissed claims of the Light Blues' move for Mena.

It looks like Lechia are using the Glaswegian outfit's pursuit of attacking reinforcements this summer to drum up interest in the Colombian forward from other clubs.

The Govan side seem unlikely to sign Mena and their name is now being used to bring other suitors to the table.

Speaking on the Rangers Review on 19 August, Jack said, "I think his club are perhaps using the fact that Rangers need a winger and are in the market for a winger to build a bit of momentum to try and smoke out some other suitors perhaps.

"Not had a lot of encouragement on this one. So, at this stage, I would say unlikely. That's where we are on Mena."

Three positions Derek McInnes must target before transfer deadline

Kosta Nedeljkovic has become Rangers' 11th signing of the summer after completing a move from Aston Villa.

The Gers have addressed their issue at full-back after signing the Serbian defender and James Penrice recently.

Now, the Light Blues will likely want to step up their pursuit of a new winger in the final weeks of the transfer window.

McInnes has also publicly addressed the need for a replacement for Youssef Chermiti, who will be out for a considerable period due to an ACL injury.

Another position the Scottish manager should demand reinforcements in is at centre-back, with another option arguably needed for adequate squad depth.
