How Derek McInnes has dropped biggest Vaclav Cerny hint yet in latest Rangers comments
Derek McInnes is still looking to add that X-factor to his squad amid rumours linking Rangers to Vaclav Cerny.
The Bears finished up their pre-season with a 0-0 draw against West Ham on Sunday, but it was the second game in a row where McInnes' side failed to score from open play.
There have been suggestions that the key area needing extra quality is out wide, with doubts around the likes of Nedim Bajrami, Djeidi Gassama and Oliver Antman.
Cerny has been linked with a sensational return to Govan, and the Ibrox faithful will only acknowledge the winger as someone who could make an impact in games.
The 28-year-old only joined Besiktas last summer for around £6million, but could be let go again just 12 months later.
With Rangers in the market and apparently close to a new signing, the dots are connecting for said addition to be none other than Cerny.
How Derek McInnes' comments point towards Vaclav Cerny signing for Rangers
Ibrox News have previously reported that Rangers had a £5.1m bid for Cerny rejected by Besiktas earlier this month, with a possible deal being worth a couple of million more.
Despite the setback, Andrew Cavenagh and the board remained confident that a deal could be done for less than £8.5m.
Now, McInnes has stated that the Gers are hopeful of making two more additions before the season opener against Dundee United at Tannadice on Friday.
To add to this, the Rangers manager has also admitted that a "difference maker" is needed, which perfectly sums up what Cerny is as a footballer.
No other player that the Gers have been heavily linked with fits that criteria, apart from Jens Hjerto-Dahl, but even then, reports are linking the midfielder with a move to Cardiff City instead of Ibrox.
With that said, it only seems logical that Cerny is closing in on a return to Rangers, especially given that the Bears were always said to be ready for a return offer for the winger.

Cerny is said to be open to a move back to Rangers, who has only fueled rumours of a Besiktas exit more with his recent social media activity.
There have also been suggestions that the Turkish giants are already prepared to replace him with none other than Mohamed Salah.
Nothing has been suggested to say that the Bears can't afford the Czech Republic international, and the possible sale of Nicolas Raskin would further cover their expenses.
Time will tell, but given Cerny racked up a whopping 27 goal involvements at Ibrox before, he could truly be the "difference maker" that McInnes is alluding to.
