Elijah Just's former coach explains why Rangers target would thrive at Ibrox
Elijah Just would have no difficulties adjusting if he moved to Rangers, according to Declan Edge.
The Motherwell winger has long been linked with the Glasgow outfit, but nothing has materialised yet.
Derek McInnes is looking for game-changing players, to help his side climb up the table and avoid another third place finish in the Scottish Premiership.
Just has already shared that he hopes his agent will be busy, suggesting that he is eyeing a potential move away from Fir Park.
That may well have put the Light Blues on notice after his stellar campaign for New Zealand at the World Cup.
Now, McInnes and his side have been made aware of the attributes that would see the 47-cap international thrive in Govan.
The attributes that would give Elijah Just the platform to have Rangers success
Edge has overseen some of New Zealand's brightest talents with the Ole Football Academy and Just is one of them.
The coach, who worked with the 26-year-old for six years in his homeland believes he has three attributes that would allow him to become a success with the Gers.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, he said: “Firstly, he is a good mover and good player, he has a good way of being able to adapt.
“He also still has plenty of potential. New Zealand players take more time to reach their full potential playing in Europe as a cultural difference and Elijah is now starting to hit some good markers.
“Lastly, he is a great guy and works hard.”
Will Rangers have trouble trying to sign Just?
Just has already proved himself in Scotland, with seven goals and eight assists in his time with the Steelmen.
The only issue that the Bears may face is the fact that he may want a new challenge, to test himself in a different environment.
He will surely have suitors after notching three goals in three matches at the biggest tournament in world football.
The G51 side will likely have to make a very convincing offer to be in the mix for his signature, given those exploits on the international stage.
In terms of how much Motherwell would want, his value is listed at £2.1million on football website Transfermarkt, but that will likely be heavily increased now.
