Elijah Just has left the door open on a potential transfer to Rangers.

The Motherwell winger has attracted attention from the Gers and Glasgow rivals Celtic in recent months.

He was a standout performer in the Scottish Premiership, with seven goals and eight assists in 30 matches.

The Rangers target's performances at the World Cup have only increased the hype surrounding his future.

He scored two goals in the opener against Iran and added another to his tally against Belgium last time out.

He was asked about his future while away with New Zealand at the tournament and his answer will interest Gers' supporters.

How has Elijah Just hinted at Rangers switch?

Just is clearly up for a Fir Park exit, with his latest comments about his agent.

He revealed that he hopes that his agent is busy after his showings in the United States and Canada.

In an interview with Newstalk ZB Sport, an outlet from his homeland, the 26-year-old said: “In terms of transfers and the window, that’s my agent’s job.

“I’m sure, well I hope, he's busy at the moment. I will obviously speak with him and in football you never know.

“I'm just trying to stay focused, keep getting better as a footballer, and we’ll see.”

The fact he "hopes" his agent is busy hints at a move to the likes of the Light Blues, the Hoops or another interested party, but he won't come cheap for the club that signs him.

How much will Just cost this summer?

Just is under contract with the Steelmen until 2027, but they hold the option to extend that by a further year.

That buys the North Lanarkshire side some leeway when it comes to a potential exit.

They are not under pressure to sell, and can demand whatever figure that they feel like they deserve for his services.

Just is valued at £2.1million by football transfer website Transfermarkt, but his World Cup showings mean that price will likely be heavily inflated.

It may cost Derek McInnes' side a pretty penny, but it would be totally worth it as he has proved that he can perform at the highest level of the game.

The only issue may be that bigger clubs may have taken noticed, and could blow the Bears out of the water if they decide to make a move.

The Govan side will have to act fast if they want to bring the 47-cap international to G51, given how he has been a standout at the competition.
