Chris Wilder has already revealed his stance as Rangers set sights on Ryan One
Rangers have now been linked with a move for Sheffield United striker Ryan One.
The Gers are still in the market for attacking reinforcements to bolster Derek McInnes' side.
They have already brought in Lawrence Shankland, but the rest of their additions have been in other areas of the pitch.
Ibrox News have shared the latest on their pursuits of midfielders Vanja Dragojevic and Jens Hjerto-Dahl.
However, they are still lacking in the final third, and appear set to address that area next.
Blades boss Chris Wilder has already shared how he feels about the 20-year-old forward.
How does Chris Wilder feel about selling Ryan One?
One is one of the most highly-rated Scottish talents in the game at the moment.
TalkSPORT's Ben Jacobs claimed that the Bears are interested in the former Hamilton Academical man on Thursday.
Wilder has spoken about One's potential in the past, claiming that he definitely has a place in his squad in the future.
Speaking in April, he said: “He’s got a big future ahead of him, a number nine who can link it up, run down the sides and score.
"We sold Will Osula for £10m, I’m not putting too much on Ryan but he’s got a big future and his future is with us.
"He’s here long-term.”
That suggests that the 11-cap Under-21 international is going nowhere this summer.
How does One's career so far explain Rangers interest?
One started his career with the Accies, and made 36 appearances for them with four goals before securing a move to the EFL.
The Bramall Lane side picked him up for an undisclosed fee, believed to be six figures.
He has featured 22 times for the Blades, with one goal in a total of 585 minutes.
He spent the 2025-26 season on loan with Lincoln City, notching five goals and one assist in that time.
Judging by those numbers, it suggests that it would be a project signing for McInnes' side, rather than an immediate success.
However, he could find himself forced into an important role, and thrive under that pressure, back in Scotland.
That remains to be seen, but only if the outspoken Wilder relents on his stance of keeping the promising talent around in Yorkshire.
Whether he is willing to do that, only time will tell, but the financial arrangement would surely have to be very tempting for that to happen.
A loan move with an option to buy may be the best outcome to satisfy all parties, given the risk that the G51 side would be taking on.
