Ally McCoist reveals what Rangers need to sign next after what he's seen
Ally McCoist was far from convinced by what he saw from Rangers against Dundee United.
The Gers got their new Scottish Premiership campaign underway on Friday with a trip to Tannadice Park.
Things didn't start in ideal fashion as Lachlan Rose found the net in bizarre fashion to open the scoring.
The ball appeared to bounce off him into the net, but the same can't be said for Thelo Aasgaard's strike.
The Norway international scored a screamer to get the Light Blues level and ultimately secure a point in a 1-1 draw.
It was far from an ideal start for Derek McInnes and has left McCoist suggesting that further signings are necessary.

There were certainly points where the Ibrox outfit could have done much better on opening day.
Defensively, there were several shortcomings as Emmanuel Fernandez came under fire in particular.
Jesse Randall should have punished the centre-back, but his chipped effort was easily halted by Ivor Pandur.
That wasn't at the top of the list for McCoist in terms of problems as he instead took aim at the lack of attacking threat in this Rangers side.
Speaking live via talkSPORT on Wednesday, the former striker suggested that reinforcements are still necessary.
He said: "I thought from a Rangers point of view that there was a distinct lack of creativity. Aasgaard scored a brilliant goal with his left foot, it was a terrific finish, but I thought there was a lack of creativity in the side.
"They looked as though they needed strengthening, particularly in wide areas."
It looks as though McInnes and Co. agree and are already making moves to rectify the problem.
McCoist prayers have already been answered at Rangers
The Scot vented his frustration and within the hour, the Gers were announcing a winger signing.
Daisuke Yokota has been announced as the latest signing in Govan in a move from Hannover 96.
He has put pen to paper on a three-year deal and having contributed to nine goals and assists last season, he will add some attacking threat to the Light Blues outfit.
That will certainly be exciting for McCoist, but business might not be done there.
Fares Ghedjemis has also been linked with a G51 switch after his 18 goal involvements last campaign with Frosinone.
That link on top of the move for Yokota is proof that McCoist's prayers are being answered after opening day disappointment for the Light Blues.
