Second Rangers coach quits Ibrox in days as Birmingham City seal Scott Fry move
Derek McInnes is facing several high-profile changes already at Rangers as he settles into life at Ibrox.
It's been a drama-packed start to the summer in Glasgow, with McInnes replacing Danny Rohl, who is now at RB Salzburg.
Before that happened, Lawrence Shankland was signed from Hearts in a sensational free transfer.
Ross McCrorie and Ben Godfrey have since followed as new signings, but that's not all McInnes has on his plate.
With moves completed to appoint some of his own staff from Tynecastle, exits are starting to creep up at staff level.
Scott Fry is the latest set to move on, and it's a familiar switch for Rangers fans that's expected.
Scott Fry exit is really unexpected at Ibrox
Just months after making the move from Lincoln City, Fry is heading back to England and the Championship.
The Rangers Review reports that the first-ever set piece specialist at Ibrox will join Birmingham City.
Scott Wright is just one player who has made the move to St Andrew's recently, too.
Fry won't be part of McInnes' new long-term plan, despite making an immediate impact after joining Rohl.
Alan Archibald and Paul Sheerin have been joined by Craig Clark, with Hearts and Kilmarnock losing key men.
More importantly, Rangers are welcoming staff who know everything there is to know about Scottish football, recreating that feel that's gone missing recently.
Who else has left Rangers?
Sal Bibbo is another staff member set for England, but this time, the Premier League.
The goalkeeper coach also only recently joined in the past year from Sheffield Wednesday, but he will now move to Coventry City.
It's unclear if both will be replaced, but Bibbo certainly will need to be, given his specific role in the coaching staff.
With Ivor Pandur set to sign for Rangers in the coming days from Hull City, with Jack Butland going the other way, specialist staff need to be in place for his arrival after the World Cup.
McInnes won't appreciate the double exit as soon as the players returned to Auchenhowie, but it's good that they've happened now before the real action gets underway.
It also gives the new manager chance to bring in more of his trusted employees from his coaching career.
Either way, Rangers are working overtime in every department right now.
