Scott Allan can't believe 'Incredible' scenes he saw in Rangers defeat vs Hibernian

The Derek McInnes era has not started well at Rangers.

Three competitive games in, and the Scotsman is yet to oversee a victory with the Glasgow side.

The Gers looked to snatch a late win against Hibernian after finding the net in final 10 minutes at 1-0 down.

However, it would be the Edinburgh club that ultimately held all the cards upon the final whistle thanks to a late winner.

With Scott Allan left in disbelief at what he was witnessing at Ibrox in what was McInnes' first home league game.

Now, McInnes will have to go back to the drawing room and figure out how to turn these early poor results around.

Rangers are already falling behind in the Scottish Premiership title race.

After two games, they are five points behind league leaders Celtic all thanks to an added-time winner by Hibs man Callum Wright.

The finish came not long after Djeidi Gassama forced an 85th minute own goal from Miguel Chaiwa.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound, Allan said about that game-winning moment: "Incredible response from this Hibernian team.

"He shows that bit of composure, works the ball wide, Rangers not set up properly, trying to find the winner, he finds that corner."

"What an ending to the game. David Gray will be absolutely delighted with that, what an ending to this game."

Next up for Rangers is another home fixture against Jagellonia. With a 2-1 deficit, the Bears will need a much better performance than the last two losses to turn it around.

McInnes will undoubtedly be furious with what his side offered and will be relaying the need to fix their current form.

If not, they will more than likely be exiting the Europa League for this season.

What is going wrong for Rangers?

Rangers are taking plenty of shots, shown by their 25 total against Hibs. However, they are clearly not making the most of them.

Out of those chances, the Bears only managed to create two big chances as per FotMob, meanwhile in just eight attempts, Hibs created three.

McInnes needs to get his side to be more ruthless in the final third, but with Youssef Chermiti heading off the pitch with an injury, that could prove more difficult.

Rangers are still on the lookout for wingers, with Couhaib Driouech a concrete option, and that could be a solution the manager can tap into.

Either way, Rangers need to figure out their issues as soon as possible or risk having no chance of winning the league.
