Rangers are hopeful of striking an agreement with PSV for Couhaib Driouech.

The Bears have made a strong push to bring the 24-year-old to Ibrox, with more attacking reinforcements wanted.

Though they face stiff competition from the likes of Celta Vigo and Burnley, the 49ers have confidence that they can progress in talks soon.

There have been suggestions that the Gers had an offer in the region of £6million rejected for the left-winger, in an attempt to land Derek McInnes further depth and quality out wide.

This comes despite the arrival of Daisuke Yokota, who joined the Light Blues for a fee in excess of £3m on a three-year deal.

However, the truth about Rangers' push for Driouech has emerged, with the Govan side set to lay down their financial terms.

It has been suggested that Rangers have launched a second bid to sign Driouech after their initial attempts failed.

The Bears have been in contact with another European side in Frosinone for Fares Ghedjemis, but have been priced out of a deal, and as a result, Andrew Cavenagh and Co. have cooled their interest.

However, an update from Rangers Review on Sunday now reveals Ibrox sources have insisted that they have made no official bid to sign Driouech, meaning nothing has been rejected, contrary to other reports.

That being said, further talks for the Moroccan are expected, with the Light Blues eager to strike an agreement worth £7m.

The winger was left out of PSV's side for their draw with Fortuna Sittard on Saturday, due to ongoing speculation surrounding his future.

Driouech is said to be just one of several targets that Rangers' recruitment team are pursuing, as two more priorities come to light.

Rangers would make Driouech their tenth summer signing, if he were to come to Ibrox.

Though a major overhaul has already taken place at the club, further reinforcements are still wanted.

It's said that the Bears will sign another centre-back and left-back this summer, with several targets being worked on.

Multiple players are still likely to leave Rangers, with John Souttar, Lyall Cameron and Nicolas Raskin three among others who are all attracting interest.
