Rangers star Ryan Naderi was clearly emotional after making his debut for Czechia on Saturday night.

Naderi was eligible to represent Czechia through his mother, as well as Bulgaria, where his father is from.

The 23-year-old could also have represented his birthplace Germany, where he also spent his formative years as a player.

However, after initially being approached by Bulgaria earlier this year, Naderi has now officially decided to play for Czechia at international level.

That is now locked in after Naderi came on for his Czechia debut against Spain on Saturday.

Naderi has now taken to Instagram to reflect on the night, with plenty of his clubmates quick to respond.

What did Ryan Naderi post after Czechia debut?

Naderi spoke after the game about the "unbelievable" experience of making his international debut.

He himself described the Spain match, which Czechia lost 3-1, as the "biggest match of my life".

Naderi played a part in Jiri Slama's goal for the visitors after Lamine Yamal and Rodri had given Spain a two-goal lead, only for Mikel Merino to add a late third.

In a post on Instagram on Sunday morning, the former Hansa Rostock player posted: "Some things you can’t describe."

That was accompanied by four images, including one of Naderi celebrating what he thought was a debut goal, only for it to be ruled out.

Nicolas Raskin reposted the image on his personal account, along with 'star-struck eyes' emojis.

Tuur Rommens posted a 'celebration' emoji, meanwhile, and Findlay Curtis went with a wolf emoji.

Vanja Dragojevic and Mason Munn were also among those to react to the post.

What's next for Naderi?

Naderi had to wait for his Czechia bow due to a paperwork delay, meaning he missed out on playing against Croatia and England.

However, now that he is off the mark he may well get the chance to feature in the return match with England at Wembley on Tuesday.

It is then a return to club action, assuming he is injury free, before Czechia host Spain and then travel to Croatia for their two November fixtures.
