Barry Ferguson has no doubt Rangers will beat Dundee on Saturday.

The Gers will travel to Dens Park on 17 October, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm local time.

Derek McInnes' team are on a roll, having won seven games on the bounce.

The Ibrox side got the three points against Kilmarnock despite facing some difficulties and have been backed to do the same away from home next.

As things stand, the Light Blues are three points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table, with Hearts six points off the top.

The Jam Tarts face Celtic at Parkhead over the weekend, and any result in G40 will benefit the Govan side if they can get the win in Tayside.

What Derek McInnes has changed at Rangers this season

McInnes must have taken lessons from the win against Kilmarnock, as Neil McCann's side gave the Gers several defensive problems.

The Light Blues held on to the result at Ibrox after going three goals up in the first half and didn't let Killie turn things around.

Under McInnes, the players in G51 are showing the mentality and fight that have been missing for some time.

Ferguson is confident that if the game at Dens Park turns into a dogfight, the Glaswegian outfit will be up for the challenge.

The Govan side were knocked out of Europe at the start of the season, but they've since found their feet under the Scottish manager and found consistency in their performances.

Writing in the Daily Record on 16 October, Ferguson said, "Yes, you can have your own fixed ideas about how you want your team to play and what style of football you prefer.

"But successful Rangers players have to be prepared to fight and scrap for every piece of silverware that they lift. That's the sense of togetherness I'm seeing in Del's dressing room right now.

"It's why I'm confident they'll find a way to chalk up an eight straight win on Saturday night.

"If it becomes all a bit up in the air and back to front, with individual battles all over the pitch, I genuinely don't believe they'll allow themselves to be pushed around or bullied. I haven't felt like that in a long time."

Rangers predicted XI vs Dundee: Derek McInnes makes change as reality check hits

What Derek McInnes must do differently at Dens Park

McCann mirrored McInnes' Rangers system at Ibrox and enjoyed relative success in terms of creating opportunities.

Kilmarnock were left exposed at the back, but gave the Gers' defence plenty to think about.

The midfield of Dan Neil and Nicolas Raskin were outnumbered at times against Killie, leaving spaces for the opposition to exploit.

It's unlikely that McInnes will tweak his winning formula at Dens Park, but he must make sure the engine room gets the support it needs.

Moving Minsu Kim to the number 10 position and playing Ryan Naderi as the lone striker could be one of the solutions the Scottish manager goes for.
