Keith Jackson reveals Rangers injury update straight from Auchenhowie - 'It's big news'
Derek McInnes is reaping the rewards of consistency at Rangers.
The Bears have won seven games in a row in all competitions, keeping five clean sheets in the process.
While the likes of Ryan Naderi are stealing the headlines, it's the rock solid defence where the platform has been set.
Ivor Pandur, Emmanuel Fernandez and Olwethu Makhanya have formed a sensational partnership, but they're not alone.
Dujon Sterling and James Penrice are at the top of their games, too, but the Englishman being replaced early against Kilmarnock set off worries.
Thankfully, Keith Jackson has revealed specific information straight from Auchenhowie on his prognosis.
What's the latest on DujSterling?
Ibrox News has covered that Sterling was passed fit to train after this blow, but more has come to light, since.
It's said that the defender did need checking over by the medical team, suggesting it was more than just illness, before getting the green light.
Speaking on Hotline Live on Tuesday, Jackson shared the information straight from Auchenhowie in the past 24 hours.
"I think it's big news for Rangers fans," he said. "Certainly big news for Derek McInnes.
"My information was that there were concerns over Dujon Sterling; there are always concerns over Sterling because he has been so unlucky with illness and injuries over his entire period at Rangers.
"He come off after 45 minutes [vs Killie] and there were concerns he was going to be looking at another stretch, but he returned to Auchenhowie today and gave the green light by the medical team."
Will Rangers go unchanged again vs Dundee?
With no European football this season, all eyes are on Dens Park for the Light Blues.
Rangers take on Dundee late on Saturday in the Scottish Premiership, looking to once again go temporarily top.
Celtic play Hearts on Sunday, so this could be an opportunity to really take control, rather than waiting to rely on other results for weeks.
It's hard to see any changes at the back, but given the lacklustre second half against Killie, McInnes could switch things up further forward.
Sterling is one of those that when he's fit, he simply has to start.
You saw the drop off when Kosta Nedeljkovic came on, no offence to the Aston Villa loanee, it simply wasn't the same.
So, as the squad remains fit, keep the good news coming.
