Rangers injury news as Dujon Sterling update emerges before Dundee clash
Rangers fans had been anxiously awaiting news on Dujon Sterling's fitness for Saturday's trip to Dundee.
The full-back has been in superb form for the Gers this season.
Sterling has already racked up 495 minutes of Scottish Premiership football, more than he managed in the entirety of last term.
However, the 26-year-old only managed 45 minutes of Saturday's 3-1 win over Kilmarnock at Ibrox.
It sparked fears that Sterling may be set for a spell on the sidelines, with the versatile full-back having endured injury problems throughout his time at Rangers.
However, it now looks as though Derek McInnes will be able to count on Sterling for the weekend trip to Dens Park.
What's the latest with Rangers ace Dujon Sterling?
Sterling has been receiving plenty of deserved plaudits for his performances for Rangers this season.
The former Chelsea and Stoke City man has been one of the most consistent performers for Rangers this season.
So his absence for any prolonged period would have represented a big blow for McInnes and Rangers.
However, a new report from the Daily Record suggests that Sterling is set to be involved.
The newspaper reported online that Sterling was actually struggling with illness before the win over Kilmarnock.
However, he came through training unscathed on Tuesday, to the delight of McInnes, and looks set to be involved against Dundee.
Rangers protecting proud Dundee record
Having Sterling available is fantastic news for McInnes as they look to continue their momentum.
A run of six straight league wins, seven in all competitions, has shifted the mood at Rangers and they sit just two points adrift of Celtic.
This weekend, Rangers face Dundee, who they have not lost to since a 2-1 away defeat back in November 2017.
Since then, the sides have met on 20 occasions, with Rangers winning 16 of those and drawing the other four.
McInnes will hope his side are on it from the off, because Rangers have the bit right between their teeth at the moment.
This weekend represents another opportunity to get three valuable points on the board and prove they can be a genuine threat in the Scottish Premiership title race.
