Hamza Igamane set for Morocco twist after Rangers developments
Hamza Igamane has become a key player at Rangers as the Moroccan star continues to make waves in the Scottish Premiership.
The 22-year-old signed for the Gers from AS FAR last summer and has broken onto the scene in recent months after a slow start to the season.
In the last 12 league matches for the Light Blues, the striker has scored nine goals and provided one assist, surely catching the eye of his national team manager.
Morocco to make Hamza Igamane call-up decision
Morocco head coach Walid Regragui could now include the striker in his squad for the World Cup Qualifiers in March, according to Le Matin.
The news outlet reports (5 February) that Igamane’s displays at Ibrox have potentially caught the attention of the Atlas Lions’ manager.
As a result, the 22-year-old may be handed his national team debut against Niger or Tanzania in the upcoming international break.
The Bears have one of the most exciting prospects in the Scottish Premiership on their hands.
Igamane has forced Philippe Clement to include him in his plans at Rangers, which has seen the likes of Cyriel Dessers drop down in the pecking order.
While the Nigerian striker has gotten back into the team over the last month after scoring some crucial goals, the Moroccan ace would still be the Ibrox faithful’s go-to number nine.
