Barry Ferguson expects Rangers to seriously consider Youssef Chermiti offer

Barry Ferguson can see the likes of Emmanuel Fernandez, Nicolas Raskin and Youssef Chermiti leaving Rangers in the upcoming transfer window.

The Gers icon believes everyone has a price on their head at Ibrox, and if the right offer comes, the Govan side may have a look at it.

Ferguson has heard of Porto’s recent interest in Chermiti and expects the Light Blues to seriously consider any deals tabled for their key players in the summer.

The Glaswegian outfit could potentially be in for a massive summer rebuild after falling at the final hurdle in the William Hill Premiership.

Danny Rohl has relied on Chermiti as his first-choice number nine, but the German manager could potentially have to cope without him next season.

🚨 RANGERS TRANSFER UPDATE 🚨

The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.

Danny Rohl makes transfer demands clear at Rangers

Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show on 18 May, Ferguson said, “I think if offers come in for the likes of Fernandez and Nico, you’ve got to seriously look at it. If it’s the right money. Everyone has got a price on their head. Even Chermiti. There has been talk about Porto as well over the last few days. If somebody comes in with the right offer, they might have to look at doing business that way.”

Rohl has apparently told Andrew Cavenagh that he wants more leaders in his Gers dressing room ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Raskin can certainly be considered an influential figure at the Light Blues and his sale may not go down well with the German manager.

Fernandez has also become a key player for the Glaswegian outfit in recent months and is someone the 37-year-old head coach could build his defence around for the foreseeable future.

As for Chermiti, while his inconsistency has been frustrating for fans to witness, he ended the season as the Govan side’s leading goalscorer.

Andrew Cavenagh has work at do at Ibrox

Since Cavenagh has decided to back Rohl, the American owners will surely need to put their money where their mouth is in the summer window.

Rangers evidently need several quality additions to get back to winning silverware and that will undoubtedly require significant investment.

The Gers must build a competitive squad to compete on all fronts and it remains to be seen how the recruitment department will go about it, given that several players are set to return to their parent clubs at the end of their loans.

There are big holes to fill in the Glaswegian outfit’s squad, evidently making life difficult for Cavenagh.
