Danny Rohl has already signalled for dream Lewis Ferguson deal with new Rangers wish
Danny Rohl will look to improve Rangers’ squad in the upcoming summer window after his side crumbled in the final weeks of the Scottish Premiership.
The German manager has come under pressure for the Bears going three games and three losses in the post-split fixtures.
Rangers looked to be in a strong position to push for the title until those results. However, it appears that Rohl is here to stay despite that outside noise.
With James Tavernier leaving the Gers, the dressing room is set to lose quite an important asset: the experience and leadership the Englishman offers.
But a Rangers transfer for Lewis Ferguson could be the ideal arrival, with Rohl outlining exactly what his side needs.

Why Lewis Ferguson is exactly what Rangers need in the summer
Ferguson is desperate to feature for Rangers, with his father, Derek, and uncle, Barry, having both done so in the past as well. The 26-year-old was at Ibrox during his youth career but ultimately left without playing a game.
The Ferguson name is synonymous with the Ibrox side, and the Scotsman is proving himself in the Serie A currently.

| Passing accuracy | 88% |
| Duel success | 52% |
| Balls recovered per game | 2.3 |
With Tavernier leaving, the Bears are set to lose plenty of experience, and with Ferguson having 316 professional club games and 23 international caps under his belt, it is safe to say he would offer that.
Speaking about Tavernier leaving, Rohl stated: “We need new leaders, more leaders for the dressing room, to set our standards that we want on the training pitch, in difficult moments in the game.
“I think this is crucial. This is a great opportunity to work on this.”
Ferguson has been Bologna’s captain since 2023 and has led the side through multiple successful Serie A campaigns, including qualifying for the Champions League.
He has exactly what Rohl is asking for in abundance.

How likely is Lewis Ferguson to Rangers?
While Ferguson does have a wish to play for Rangers at some point, the chance of that coming in the next few years may be slim.
His father, Derek, is under the impression that if his son left Bologna, it would be to move to another country.
He stated via the Daily Record: “See knowing him, it wouldn’t be coming back to these shores, it would be going to another country.”
While the green light over a move back to G51 is certainly pleasing to hear, the midfielder also desires to play in the Premier League.
If he leaves the Serie A, that may be the more likely move for the player. However, that should not stop the Gers from attempting to recruit him.
The familial and emotional connection is at play, and a surprise transfer may not be off the cards due to that.
