Rangers vs Hibernian preview: Team news, likely lineups and score prediction
Rangers are looking to recover in the smallest way possible when they host Hibernian at Ibrox on Wednesday.
It has been a dismal few weeks for Danny Rohl‘s side, who can no longer finish any higher than third in the standings.
League leaders Hearts dropped points against Motherwell on Saturday, giving the Gers a chance to make up ground after Monday’s defeat to the Jambos.
However, Rohl’s side were beaten 3-1 by Old Firm rivals Celtic at Parkhead.
In their final home match of the season, they welcome Hibs to Ibrox hoping to finish on a high.

Form guide
Heading into the split, Rangers were in fine fettle – scoring goals for fun as they prepared for a title surge.
However, things soon came crashing down, as they re-opened their campaign with three successive defeats against Motherwell, Hearts and Celtic.
Hibs, on the other hand, were able to recover their form on Saturday, with David Gray’s side picking up a 3-1 win away at Falkirk, after they too lost their opening two post-split matches against Hearts and Celtic.

Head-to-head
One of the biggest matchups in Scottish football, Rangers and Hibs share a fantastic history.
Naturally, it is the Gers who carry the upper hand historically, though they did lose against Wednesday’s opponents at Ibrox as recently as last year, with Hibs winning 2-0.
| Rangers | Hibs | |
| Wins | 107 | 33 |
| Draws | 27 | 27 |
| Goals scored | 338 | 166 |
This term, the Govan outfit are unbeaten against the Edinburgh side, with the pair playing out a 0-0 draw in their last bout at Easter Road back in February.
Team news and predicted lineups
On the team news front, little has changed for Rohl, with Ryan Naderi still next in line as he gets back up to speed, while Nico Raskin is a doubt after missing the Old Firm loss.
The boss still has multiple conundrums to consider, with the ineffectiveness on the right flank a major issue during the recent poor run.
As a result, Djeidi Gassama could return for Oliver Antman, while Thelo Aasgaard replaces Mohamed Diomande at the top of midfield, making it two changes.
In his final match at Ibrox, captain James Tavernier should get the nod over Dujon Sterling despite his poor recent form.

For Hibs, Gray remains without Rudi Molotnikov, who is out for the season, while Josh Mulligan is a doubt through an ankle issue.
Predicted Rangers lineup: Butland; Tavernier, Fernandez, Djiga, Rommens; Barron, Chukwuani; Gassama, Aasgaard, Moore; Chermiti
Predicted Hibernian lineup: Sallinger; O’Hora, Hanley, Iredale; Passlack, Chaiwa, Barlaser, Obita; Campbell, Boyle, Elding
We say: Rangers 3-1 Hibernian
Looking to end the season with some sort of momentum, Rangers should have more than enough in the locker to beat Hibs on home soil – should.
The outcome of the term will go down as a disappointment, but the Gers simply must finish well and carry momentum into the summer.
Hibs and Falkirk are winnable fixtures, and Rohl’s side must make use of them as they recover from the post-split run.
