Danny Rohl must maintain patience before final Ross McCausland decision at Rangers
Danny Rohl has not yet had a first-hand glimpse of Ross McCausland, with the Rangers forward sent out on loan months before his arrival.
The 22-year-old joined Cypriot outfit Aris Limassol on loan back in August 2025, and many expected him to complete a permanent switch.
His deal when making the move included a conditional obligation to buy, which has not been met.
The five-cap Northern Ireland international is set to return to Govan for next season, where a big decision over his future will have to be made.
Rohl could get the last say, and the German must remain patient before making any final transfer decision at Rangers.

Could Ross McCausland have a role at Rangers next season?
At the start of the season, McCausland may have felt his time in Glasgow was over as his loan contained that buy option.
However, as the seasons across Europe come to an end, that reality has been flipped on its head.

The forward is set to go into next season in his final year of his Rangers contract but is eyeing a revival.
Speaking to Rangers Review, McCausland feels he can return to fight for a place in Rohl’s plans next season.
The Rangers ace stated: “Not only do you need to want to play for the club, but you need to believe that you’re good enough to play for the club.
“I think at this stage of the season, when maybe I know I’ll be coming back to start pre-season, all I can really do is leave the best impression I can.”
However, ahead of next season, the Gers manager should allow McCausland to prove his qualities throughout pre-season.
With Rangers set to lose Mikey Moore after his loan, they could end up getting a cost-free weapon in the Northern Irishman.
The forward is clearly determined to revive his Ibrox career, and it would be unwise to take that away from him without an audition.
McCausland could ultimately play a pivotal role for the Bears next season, as long as Rohl provides him that opportunity to show he can.
How did Ross McCausland’s loan spell go?
McCausland’s loan provided the 22-year-old with plenty of minutes at a first-team level, which is the main positive.
For Limassol, the Northern Irish international played 21 times in the Cypriot First Division, starting in 13 of those games.
He scored four goals and provided three assists, averaging a contribution every 165 minutes, which in truth is quite a good return versus minutes.
Overall, McCausland may still have more to give the Glasgow outfit.
