Mikey Moore: Rangers transfer hopes fade after Xavi Simons injury
Mikey Moore looks almost certain to return to Tottenham after his loan at Rangers.
They say to never fall in love with a loan player, but for Rangers fans, they certainly have several times in the last few seasons.
First, it was Vaclav Cerny who was shining at Ibrox, and this season, Moore has taken the torch from him, having played an influential role under Danny Rohl.
The teen has six goals and three assists across all competitions for the Gers, and has certainly grown into his spell in Glasgow.
Rangers have been keen to sign Moore permanently, but the chances of that happening have now surely diminished further.

Xavi Simons injury could force Tottenham’s hand
Tottenham’s struggles have been well documented this season, and Xavi Simons has so often been the player they looked towards to address them.
However, the Dutchman suffered a season-ending injury in their latest win over Wolves, having ruptured his ACL.
Typically, the recovery time for an injury of that magnitude can be anywhere from six to nine months, but even on the more optimistic side of that scale, it’s unlikely he will be fit for the new campaign.
And that can only be a bad thing for Rangers’ pursuit of Moore.

The teenager has impressed in Scotland and almost certainly done enough to warrant a chance in North London, and the absence of Simons will only accelerate that opportunity.
Rangers must avoid Mikey Moore error this summer
Moore will not return to Ibrox next season; that isn’t inside information, it’s just common sense based on the current scenario.
But Rangers can’t afford to loan another attacker in for them to become their main source of threat, only to lose them again the season after.
The Light Blues need to add permanent quality to the wide areas of the squad, and avoid a repeat of the Cerny and Moore situation, with the latter certain to unfold this summer.
